J28/A36 Fire Station Open day

19/8/2023

Another busy day for 240FLM and her dedicated team as they made their way around the North London zone this time to Southgate Fire station for their annual open day.
Another very enjoyable day with huge local support and complemented yet again by fine and warm weather. On show for the crowds was the popular Turntable Ladder from Tottenham, the Emergency tender from Edmonton, The Pump Ladder from the home base of Southgate and our own AEC Merryweather Turntable ladder, this time with the old call sign of Bravo 293. (New Cross).
On parade was one of the LFB Arson dogs which inevitably drew lots of attention as well as Firefighter Terry Rea dazzling the crowds with his magic show.
As with many stations, the LFB cadets and their instructors were also out in force to spread the word about the cadet scheme which is so incredibly popular and as ever, the traditional “water squirt” made the children laugh and just have lots of fun.

A lovely day as ever.
