August 12th 2020 and the group were delighted to be able to get their hands on some much valued spare parts for our vehicle when a very similar appliance became available. The appliance, formally based in the NE of the UK was about be scrapped so we quickly got together a group complete with all necessary tools and headed off down to the South Coast for a day of picking.
May 13th 2019 and 240FLM has once again participated in the annual Historic Commercial Vehicle run from Crystal Palace to marina Drive in Brighton. Although we did not win any certificates this year the crew of 4 had a fabulous weekend. And it didn't rain! Our thanks to Group photographer and videographer, Paul Wood for this production. April 28th 2019 and our first event of the year at the "Visit the Vulcan" open day at Southend Airport. 240FLM was invited to act as a static complement to this historic, and iconic aircraft which is also in preservation. July 21st 2018 and 240FLM arrives on the showground at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon in Warwickshire to participate in the Fire Service Preservation Group gala . Probably the first time she has pumped water since 1980! Video copyright and courtesy of group member, Steve Lomas.
May 6th 2018 and 240FLM once again participates in the Historic Commercial Vehicle Run from Crystal Palace to Brighton seafront. It is believed that the last time the appliance participated was in 1994.
December 2nd 2017 and 240FLM finally returns to the London Fire Brigade at Romford Fire Station 35 years after she departed from the care of the Brigade.
