Saturday 3rd June saw 240FLM head in to the East End of London for the annual open day at F45 Plaistow Fire Station . Beautiful weather meant that our appliance stood out in the crowd and was a highlight attraction for many of the hundreds of visitors both young and old. Also on display were some of the modern fleet of London appliances including the sky reaching, 64 Metre, Metz Turntable ladder from Dagenham fire station which later put on a display and the modern fleet of pumping appliances. Crews from the station both entertained and educated the visitors and the crew of 240FLM spent their day explaining the fascinating history of our vintage appliance.
A lovely day with many delighted visitors so another job well done. As always, all these images are copyright to the photographers, Gary Quinnell and Paul Wing and no unauthorised reproduction is permitted.
